After being subject to a monopoly held by BTC (Bahamas Telecommunications Company), the people of the Bahamas were finally given the choice, when Cable Bahamas was awarded the second mobile provider license by the government.
Cable Bahamas embraced their challenger status—by developing a purposed-based positioning, name and identity that captured not only the heart of Bahamians, and spirit of the islands, but the freedom now afforded by this new digital lifestyle brand.
The name “ALIV” is a simple, joyous declaration of liberty and self-expression. Out of deep immersion in the cultural and artistic elements of this distinctive place— a dynamic and generative visual system was born—paying respect to local art and the vibrancy of Caribbean colors. The uniquely flexible palette was anchored in a multi-hued strata, an expressive graphic device whose parallel waves conveyed diversity and connectivity.
